Why this matters
A vault of 6,000 notes is invisible to you the moment you forget which file said what. The point isn't search — it's that you forgot what you once knew.

How it works

Three steps. Then your vault remembers.

Install & index

Install ChronRecall from the Obsidian Plugin Marketplace. On first launch it builds a timestamp-aware vector index inside your own .vault-memory/ folder. Nothing leaves your machine.

Ask across time

Open the ChronRecall panel and ask: "What did I think about note-taking systems in 2023?" Filter any query by date range. Every answer arrives with source chunks and timestamps.

Surface what you forgot

Each week, ChronRecall resurfaces high-relevance notes you haven't touched in 60+ days. Your vault stops being an archive and starts being a thinking partner.
